Germany as a viable choice for higher studies

Blue Card – Highly qualified candidates from MINT category have been granted an easy access to the German job market under the legal provisions applicable for “Blue Card EU” since 1st August 2012.  MINT refers to Mathematics, Information Sciences, Natural Sciences and Technology. Candidates from MINT[1] stream who wish to pursue their career in academics should merely procure a job offer from the university to obtain a work permit, with offered salary higher than a specified limit, streamlining the issue of work permit from Employment Exchange (Bundesagentur fuer Arbeit). Motivated candidates with a strong urge to pursue research can also take up a doctoral program by securing an admission into a public university, which offers a reasonably good stipend during the program duration.
